Ubombo Sugar Limited is part of the ABF Sugar Division, a leading producer of sugar and downstream products. Situated in the south-east of Eswatini’s Lowveld, Ubombo Sugar is the oldest sugar mill in the country. ABF Sugar has a 60% share in Ubombo Sugar Limited, with 40% of shares held by Tibiyo Taka Ngwane.
Ubombo Sugar comprises of an agricultural estate and a factory which specializes in milling and producing brown, refined, and specialty sugar products for direct consumption and industrial use. The company employs at least 3 000 permanent and seasonal employees annually and further provides indirect employment through outsourced operations.

What We Do
Ubombo Sugar Limited, situated adjacent to the Usuthu River in the south-east of Eswatini, annually produces approximately 260 000 tons of sugar. It is one of three sugar producers in the country whose combined total sugar output of approximately 670 000 tons is marketed and distributed by the Eswatini Sugar Association (ESA).
Ubombo manages 23 418 hectares of land, and of that 11 648 is area under cane. Ubombo Sugar Limited is the first to export electricity to the national grid.
