The Manager-In-Training Programme is designed to allow motivated and willing graduates in different fields of study the opportunity to gain practical work experience. The MIT programme offers intense exposure to work aligned with the graduate’s career path. The programme affords the trainees to showcase their competence, skills and talent over a phased period.
The phase constitutes of robust development over a 3 year period. Minimum requirements for acceptance into the programmes are relevant qualifications with good academic record and following the normal recruitment processes.

The apprentice ship programme is designed to develop highly motivated individuals in engineering trades. The purpose of this programme is to produce highly qualified artisans for the business and country.
The trades include, but are not limited to fitting, boiler-making, electrical, instrumentation, boiler-attendant, pan-boiling, heavy-plant mechanic and auto-mechanic. The apprenticeship programme is generally a 5 year training period, however apprentices with college diplomas may be granted exemption at 3 years. exempted at 3 years depending on their performance.
The internship programme is developed to allow tertiary education students the opportunity to gain industry exposure as is required by most tertiary institutes, as a pre-requisite to completion of their studies.
This programme allows students to gain the appropriate skillset and knowledge related to their field of study; students are afforded real work exposure and are expected to follow appropriate procedures when completing tasks. The programme provides students the opportunity to attain industry knowledge and showcase their talent and abilities, which are guided during the internship period.
During the period of internship, student interns are guided by mentors/supervisors who are specialist in the field of work they are being trained for. Guidance from mentors/supervisors will include feedback sessions on work done and pointers on how best to execute tasks.
Developed for outgoing/recent high school students, the job-shadowing programme has been crafted in such away that it allows students to receive a form of career guidance as this shapes their view of what they can pursue as careers, over and above exposing them to the industry and its workings.
During the course of the programme, candidates are placed in the working environment within our entity where they learn work-related processes, which furnish them with a hands-on and realistic approach and exploration of the numerous careers at Ubombo.
